JEFF STECYK

Jeff Stecyk is a principal partner, founding member and Executive Producer of the Wavelength Entertainment Group. Jeff has been working with the other shareholders since 1999 and is responsible for major decisions on key issues for the Wavelength Entertainment Group of companies.  He is based in Vancouver, BC and leads the west coast division of Wavelength Entertainment.

His role entails comprehensive definitive executive management of all functions related to the corporation and its subsidiaries. This involves an ongoing balance of business, creative, legal, marketing, financial and entrepreneurial leadership.  His extensive range of key responsibilities have resulted in financing and executive management/supervision of over 400 hours of programming and over $100,000,000 in programming / sales. These productions have been seen in over 150 countries and 30 languages.  

In addition, since 2003 he has also represented the company/productions at various major market events and film festivals including MIPCOM/MIPTV (Cannes, France), NATPE, National Association of Broadcasters (Las Vegas/Miami), RealScreen Summit (Washington, DC) and Banff Media Festival. Jeff had also completed many key national / international business deals (licensing, sales, co-production, distribution, etc.) and visited many locations throughout the world in conjunction with his many senior roles with the organization. Jeff also leads the development area of the company, as well as all components of the business and distribution divisions. 

He brings with him many years of management experience and has worked with a variety of private and public organizations across Canada.  For over 18 years Jeff has completed business affairs, senior production executive, development, distribution and various other functions on many projects including: Crime Stories / Blood, Lies and Alibis / Deadly Intent (Investigation Discovery US and Canada/Canal D/AMC/AETN), The Re-Inventors History/Discovery/Smithsonian), Edge of War (Discovery/Rogers), Legend Hunters (Travel Channel US/Discovery), Countdown to the Future (Vision TV), Escape From Iran (History TV/Warner Bros/APT), Innovation Nation (SCN), Nordic Lodge (Rogers), Trading Places (Life) and American Emmy award-winning, 13 Seconds (TLC/History). Jeff was the Executive Producer on a new series entitled, Boomtowners (for the Smithsonian Network US/Blue Ant Media), Nordic Lodge (Rogers Broadcasting) and various other productions.  He was recently the Producer / Executive Producer on the feature Genius Factory (CBC/DRTV), Nordic Lodge III and Bridging Borders (Rogers Broadcasting).  Jeff is currently Producer/Executive Producer on Bridging Borders (season II) and I Lived With a Killer (20 x 60” episode series with Reelz Channel and TVA).

Jeff has acquired a Bachelor of Administration Degree from the University of Regina, with specializations / additional training in Finance, Law, Marketing and Human Resource Management. He is also a registered Notary Public, has attended a variety of workshops / seminars related to the industry (Ie. Banff Executive Leadership Program) and is taking the next steps towards earning his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of British Columbia.
